SONNY

Sonny was our first Ragdoll in 1990 and quite the most exquisite cat we have ever seen!  Sired by one of the very first 12 Ragdolls to enter the UK - Blossom Time Romeo, his gentle loving and rather childlike temperament coupled with his striking looks, made him the epitome of the Ragdoll Cat, thus often referred to as ‘the face’, he was indeed, hauntingly beautiful….. From the breed point of view, he represented the Bicolour Ragdoll when the British Ragdoll Cat Club (TBRCC) strived to achieve recognition of the Ragdoll under the Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) in the UK and when shown at the age of 6, he achieved the highest accolade of Top Overall Ragdoll 1996/97 having only been shown a few times, but to us he was always our beloved Sonnybunny and that is how he remains eternally in our minds .Today, we are proud he has been chosen to depict the Seal Bicolour Ragdoll for the Traditional Ragdoll Cat Society.  We were also thrilled when talented artist Simona Bucan, won the commission for the ‘Cats’ stamp series with her beautiful paintings of six different breeds of cat, which included Sonny’s portrait to represent the ‘Ragdoll’ in a delightfully attractive series issued by Romfilatelia for Romania 2006. So in different ways, Sonny lives on – but mostly and forever within our hearts…..

SONNY – THANK YOU FOR THE SUNSHINE YOU GAVE…

MUSTA

Musta, was our King – our cherished beautiful first stud boy – who shared and enriched our lives for so long. Born in 1994 Musta enjoyed his retirement years, settling in well with the rest of our Ragdoll family, sleeping on our bed as he had done so when he first came to us and still kept his sweet way of headbutting anything and everything including a bowl of bananas!, In his younger years, he was shown circa mid 90s and achieved much success including TBRCC Top Overall Adult Ragdoll 1996 in  at the same time his counterpart – our other King – Sonny, achieved Top Overall Neuter and Top Overall Ragdoll – we have been immensely proud of both beloved boys!    Musta sired generations of champions and premiers which included his daughter Ch. Sonnifacio Cherri Cerruti, the first GCCF Mitted Ragdoll champion and his son - UK Grand Champion Sonnifacio Masterpiece, the first adult male Ragdoll to have achieved this title.    Famed for his outstandingly gentle and relaxed temperament, this came through consequtively in his kittens together with his soulful deep blue eyes (for which he once won an award!), wide ear set and strong bone.  Born from pure Old English pedigree lines, he leaves behind him the legacy of his beauty, temperament and excellent type in the progeny he has sired over the years and a deep void within our lives.  Sleep well our precious boy… for us, you and Sonny were Kings of Kings.

Mackie

Mackie, our gorgeous boy with a soft gentle temperament and a very loud merry and hearty voice – a wonderful husband to Musta’s daughters siring the most wonderful kittens, two of whom stayed with us Mimi (Sonnifacio My Girl) and Premier Sonnifacio Gentleman Ruffin and another wonderful boy International Champion Mister Blue Sky, lovingly owned and beautifully shown by our good friends Kiki and Micha of Gulbeanies’ Ragdolls in Germany.

Our deepest thanks to Janet and Robert of Doromas for entrusting this wonderful boy to us…

Chase

Chase, our beautiful second stud boy, with the most beautiful cornflower eyes. Born in 1996 he was successfully shown winning many awards and went on to produce some exquisite babies. He had quite the most perfect profile showing the gentle curve of the retrousee nose and the ‘Ragdoll Smile’!

Taken suddenly and much too soon one April evening in 2002…

Our beautiful soft and gentle Rhett born 1997,so undeniedly handsome, he lived up to his namesake,Rhett Butler!   Dreamy and incredibly ‘floppy’, Rhett enjoyed being shown as a kitten and neuter where he achieved TBRCC Top Bicolour kitten 1997/98 going on to achieve Top Overall Bicolour Ragdoll the following year and was one of the first Premiers of the breed when the Ragdoll was fully recognised in the GCCF in 2001.  Rhett, our beloved boy, was our top show boy and a great ambassador for the breed and darling of the judges as he was so relaxed and docile.

Genny

Genny was, along with Angel, the matriarch of Sonnifacio Ragdolls.   Born of 100% Old English (Blossom Time) lineage, she came to us in 1997.  A celebration of beauty both inside and out – quite exquisite.  This photo is of her in retirement, where along with perfect original type, showing the sweet expression, exquisite eye set and ear placement along with the palest of coats which she kept all her life, Genny produced probably our best kittens especially so when mated to Musta and their offspring through future generations holds the dream of Sonnifacio….A sweet gentle happygolucky girl who won many awards in her early show career.  We are indebted to Lorna and Gillian Wallace for entrusting her to us.

Angel

Angel a very pretty chubby faced girl, came to us in 1996 and she was always mated to Musta – three of their offspring did exceptionally well on the show bench and they are Sonnifacio Sassy Scarlett (the first GCCF Mitted or Colourpointed Ragdoll to gain the Intermediate certificate in the run up to the breed being recognised) and Premier Sonnifacio Frankly Rhett, one of the very first Premiers of the breed once recognition achieved and their younger full sister Champion Sonnifacio Cherri Cerruti, the first GCCF Mitted Champion.  Angel enjoyed her retirement until she passed away aged 14.

Lonerock Tequila

Tequila

Tequila came to the UK from America in the mid 90s and one of the most exquisite girls we have ever seen – she had huge eyes and a beautiful facial bone structure – she was also a total prima donna as befitting her great physical beauty, but we loved her very much.

Doromas Helluva Honey of Sonnifacio

(Ragamour Cinzano x Rathorags Abracadabra)

:Honey was a beautiful large seal colourpointed girl born from 100% Old English pedigree lines and  one of our largest and heaviest girls with her long elegant body, long legs and strong muscular frame, perhaps dispelling the myths that Old English Ragdolls are often on the smaller side! With her exceptionally wide earset and expression,we have been proud of the wonderful kittens she had borne from Musta where she was a calm and gentle mother.

Lazzi

Lazzi was our very first breeding girl, younger full sister to Musta and both brother and sister had the deepest blue eye colour, wonderful type and amazing gentle temperaments.  Born from 100% Old English (Blossom Time) lines in 1995 and sadly although mated to two different husbands, she lost her first litter one week early – a big litter of 6 and the second time she absorbed, so we were nervous for her health and spayed her and so she lived out her years as a very happy and cherished neuter girl.   As a kitten she had good success on the showbench.  Another little sweetheart who was beautiful both inside and outside.
